List of bail conditions given to Nnamdi Kanu by Justice Binta Nyako

- As the federal government commences process to revoke Nnamdi Kanu's bail, here is a list of the bail conditions set him by Justice Nyako

- Justice Nyako signed the papers that gave Kanu his freedom on Friday afternoon, April 28, after all the conditions given to the IPOB leader for his bail was met

- The IPOB leader is believed to have flouted his bail conditions

As the federal government commences process to rearrest Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, over his alleged flout of bail conditions, the list conditions given to Kanu by Justice Binta Nyako.

1. Mr. Kanu must not hold rallies.

2. He must not grant interviews.

3. He must not be in a crowd of more than 10 people.

4. He must provide three sureties in the sum of N100 million each.

5. One of the sureties must be a senior highly placed person of Igbo extraction such as a senator.

6. The second surety must be a highly respected Jewish leader since Mr. Kanu said his religion is Judaism

7. The third surety must be a highly respected person who owns landed property and is resident in Abuja

8. The IPOB leader must deposit his Nigerian passport

9. He must also deposit his British passport with the court

10. He must provide the court with reports on the progress of his health and treatment on a monthly basis.
.11. The order for him to deposit his Nigerian and British passports also mean he cannot travel out of the country (If this is considered, it is the thirteenth condition).

It had earlier reported that the federal government of Nigeria had listed the reasons why it wants the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to be re-arrested and detained.

The office of the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, released a statement asking the court to revoke the bail granted Nnamdi Kanu in April 2017

University Of Ibadan Rejects JAMB’s 120 Admission Cut-Off Mark

The management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has condemned and rejected the new Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) cut off marks for universities admission for 2017/2018 academic calendar.

A statement released by the university management, reads: “The Management of the University of Ibadan wishes to inform the public about the recently announced cut off marks of 120 for University Admission that UI will not lower her standards.

The Nigeria’s premier university still maintains her position in academic excellence and standards in order to continue to aspire towards becoming a world-class university.

It should worry us as patriots that candidates who scored just 30% in UTME can be admitted into some of our universities. Yet, we complain of poor quality of our graduates. You can hardly build something on nothing.

The consolation here is that since JAMB started conducting this qualifying exam in 1978, UI has never admitted any candidate who scored less than 200 marks out of the maximum 400 marks.

This remains our position as an institution aspiring to be world-class. Reality is that only about four other universities in the country have such high standard.

In fairness to the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, he repeatedly stressed at the Combined Policy Meeting held Tuesday, 22 August, 2017 that the Senate of each university still has wide powers for admission in the spirit of autonomy.

It is also gratifying to note that the Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, who chaired the meeting, apologised publicly for canceling Post UTME Screening last year.

To be fair to the incumbent Registrar of JAMB, he was not the Registrar when the policy somersault of cancelling POST UTME test was made last year. Prof Oloyede’s appointment was effective 1 August 2016, while the Policy Meeting for that year had held some two months earlier.”

What You Do Everyday That Spoil Your Mobile Phone Battery. - Winzik

Sharing my findings reading the manual for usage for the phone I bought TECNO W5 LITE.

Mobile phone battery is as far as every literate phone user is concerned the best thing that can make a user happy using his/her phone. Using a mobile phone whose battery is non-functional or weak is a horrible experience which every phone user hates very much, which in this case I have been a victim.

I consistently thought that licking the contact point of a phone battery is a very healthy way of knowing if your battery is still alive and kicking and also to test for the charge in it. This understanding is what I knew almost every phone technician thinks its good for phone batteries but on the contrary, I was amazed to find out just today as I bought a new phone, specifically Tecno W5 lite and I proceeded to read the guide inscribed into the phone so as to make a better user.

I was suprised to find out that the actions we take everyday (licking the point of contact) thinking its designated to detect the battery life was actually wrong. Licking the battery contact point causes short circuit, rusts battery and reduces the battery efficiency

‘Nnamdi Kanu Is A Threat To National Security’ – FG Files Application For His Bail revocation

The Federal Government on Friday, August 25, filed a fresh application before the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking immediate revocation of the bail granted to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
FG predicated the application on section 169 and 173(2) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
Describing Kanu as a threat to national security and insisting that he has mortgaged his personal liberty, haven
engaged in several acts it said were capable of sparking civil unrest and anarchy in the country.
Aside asking the court to void the bail it gave the IPOB leader on April 25, FG, further applied for an order “directing the arrest and committing of the 1st defendant to custody pending trial”.
Kanu is facing treasonable felony charge alongside four other pro-Biafra agitators-Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawuisi and Bright Chimezie. The defendants are expected to enter fresh plea to the amended charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015, before trial Justice Binta Nyako, on October 17, 2017.
